shared nursery/toddler room

So sorry for my absence. I discovered that once my own nursery was completed and filled with a wee one my interest in inspiration boards waned.

Per Ashley's suggestion, I threw together a board for a shared nursery/toddler bedroom. For this one I envisioned white walls with bold pops of primary colors. This is perfect for any combination of gender in the room and the contrast of the white and primary colors are sure to entertain even the littlest of babes.
{1} Toddler twin bedding
{2} Navy area rug
{3} Red twin loft bed - this is perfect to afford a toddler or older child some privacy and provide a sanctuary in a shared room, especially if the baby is mobile, interactive, etc. I've seen this bed on Zulily for less and hope to perhaps purchase one for Elden a few years from now.
{4} Balloon wall prints
{5} Yellow ceiling light
{6} Red and white crib - note, I would probably DIY this with a cheap, white crib and some non-toxic and durable red paint
{7} Bold crib bedding
{8} Yellow dresser (could use as the toddler's toy chest and bookshelf)
{9} White curtains with tree branch accents
{10} Red and white shelf

If the crib and twin bed colors are too bold for your taste, they would also look very sleek in solid white when paired with the bold bedding.

parisian nursery (purple and turquoise)

I decided to take a different spin on the Parisian nursery theme. Instead of doing primarily French prints and Eiffel Tower images, I attempted to do a little research into French culture to determine what an authentic French nursery embodies. Okay, actually, Jon did the research. He reported that many French nurseries have white walls and then throw in bright splashes of color. For this post, I did a much more feminine nursery with primarily turquoise, purples, and a little pink. If you wanted to do a boy's nursery that is Parisian, you could substitute the pinks and purples for more "boyish" colors--perhaps some bright greens or yellows.

{1} Turquoise lamp
{2} Chandelier wall decal for over crib
{3} Flower wall print
{4} Wall print
{5} Eiffel Tower lightswitch plate
{6} Print curtain
{7}  "It's not easy being green" written in French wall print
{8}  Brown dresser, could be used as a changing table combo
{9} Brightly colored chair
{10} Baby mobile
{11}  Brightly colored throw pillow
{12} Purple and turquoise crib bedding

safari or jungle (green and brown)

For the safari or jungle nursery, I'd recommend doing a lot of greens and browns. However, if you want your nursery to be gender specific, you could easily fine some cute gender-specific accessories. I've seen purple safari bedding for girls and blue safari bedding for boys, for example.

{1} Neutral throw pillow
{2} Green dresser/changing table combo
{3} Crib bedding
{4} Wall art
{5} Light switch and outlet covers
{6} Curtain tie backs
{7} Green lamp
{8} Baby mobile

dr. seuss (navy, red and white)

I got a suggestion to look into Dr. Seuss themed nursery accessories from the lovely ladies over at the babycenter.com community. Personally, I'd recommend anyone who wants to do a Dr. Seuss nursery keep their walls white and add bold furniture or accessories. An entirely red, blue and white room may be overwhelming.

{1} Wall painting
{2} Navy lamp
{3} Dresser knobs
{4} Throw pillow
{5} Red bookshelf
{6} Dr. Seuss crib quilt
{7} Red, blue and yellow mobile
{8} Light switch plate
